Herbert W. Chidester

Herbert William Chidester, 81, of Pinehurst passed at 10:29 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital with his son and daughter-in-law at his side.

He was born October 21, 1937 in Marietta a son of Russel Chidester and Edna Flannery Chidester. Herb was employed at Kardex as a machinest for 39 years.

He is survived by 2 sons, Ricky Lee Chidester and Charles Carl (Paula) Chidester both of Marietta; 3 grandchildren: Caitlyn (Zach) Heath of Lubeck, Aaron Chidester of Marietta and Stacy Chidester of Parkersburg; great grandchildren: Isabella, Coen, Hayleigh; 2 step great grandchildren, Nathan and Westin and by his best friend Leota Kernan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Cindy Lynn Chidester.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (June 20) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with interment following in Tunnel Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
