Jason “Pooh” Tidd

Jason Eric “Pooh” Tidd, 43, of Newport passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020, at OSU Medical Center.

He was born February 28, 1977, in Marietta a son of Ron and Irene Leasure Tidd. Jason was a mechanic at Wable Ford. He was a graduate of Frontier High School, Class of 1996. Jason loved dirt track racing and to hunt.

On May 6, 2006, he married Tonya Murphy who survives with a son and daughter, Eric Tidd and Katelyn Tidd both of the home; 2 brothers, Ron Tidd II (Sandra) and Jake Tidd (Mandy), sister Tracy Tidd (Jason), several nieces and nephews, his parents-in-law Tim and Diane Murphy and a brother-in-law JT (Jamie) Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Tidd and his grandparents, Junior and Hester Leasure and Clyde and Mary Tidd.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday May 26th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Thibault officiating. Burial will follow in Newport Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Monday. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
