Jeanette Piatt Gregory. 76, of Marietta passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at 3:30 am at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born July 20, 1943, a daughter of Edgar “Mike” and Mary Ann Menke Piatt.

Jeanette graduated from Williamstown High School in 1961 and attended Fairmont State College and Washington State Community College and graduated from Valley Beauty School. She was the Fiscal Officer to Marietta Township from 1996 until 2020, Coordinator for Washington County Township Association Employee Safety Program, Treasurer for Washington County Township Association, Secretary for Washington County Health Board, and Washington County Township Association Treasurer. She was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church, Gilman Health Committee, Wesley Circle, was the pianist and organist for Valley View Baptist Church for 29 years and was a member of Harmaritte Red Hatters. She had served as past president for MHS Band Boosters, MHS Athletic Boosters, Marietta Jaycee Ettes, Phillips PTO and Reno PTO, Reno Fire Department Auxiliary and past member of The Tiger Moms and Reno Lions Club.

On September 22, 1963, she married Neil R. Gregory who survives with sons: Scott B. Gregory of Cold Spring, KY, Kyle L. (Brenda) Gregory of Marietta and Christopher A. Gregory of Dublin, OH; granddaughters: Kelly Gregory (Josh) Saverko of Boardman, OH and Lisa Gregory (Josh Westfall) of Marietta and Kesley Gregory of Dublin.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Jeanette Menke and Omar and Gertrude Piatt, father-in-law and mother-in-law Albert and Hilda Gregory and her brother H. Dale Piatt.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Feb. 13) at 11:00 am at Gilman United Methodist Church with Pastor Diann O’Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home after 2:00 pm with family present from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com
