Lawrence “Larry” Oliver

On Sunday, May 17th Lawrence “Larry” Oliver, 73, of Williamstown went to be with the Lord at the Arbors of Marietta. He was born August 29, 1946, in Williamstown, WV and was the son of William Oliver and Thelma Luverna Tuell Oliver.

Larry worked at Peoples Bank of Marietta for 38 years. He resided in Williamstown his entire life and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Larry is survived by brothers, William H. Oliver of Middleboro, Mass. and Charles Evert Oliver of Williamstown; sisters, Carolyn Oliver Brookover of Williamstown and Kathleen Lenora Oliver Brookover of Marietta and multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Robert Oliver.

The family would like to thank the nurses at The Arbors and his caring partner Cheryl at the Arbors. Also a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice in Washington County.

Public visitation will be held on Thursday (May 21) from 2-4 and 6-8 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
