Lucius (Lu) Lackore
Lucius (Lu) Bernard Lackore passed away December 28, 2017 in Naples, FL. He was born on December 11, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Lucius Harrington and Margaret Barnard Lackore.
He was married to Nancy Kern Lackore who preceded him in death in 1984. They adopted and raised four children. He married Linda Engle Berry Lackore (formerly of Marietta OH) on July 3, 1985, who preceded him in death in June, 2008.
In addition to his children, he is also survived by a brother, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Ed Engle of Marietta and sister-in-law Nancy Engle Weinstock of The Woodlands, TX.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday (April 28) in Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Diann O’Bryant officiating. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Audubon of the Western Everglades, P. O. Box 1738, Naples, FL 34106 in memory of Lu Lackore.
