Monnah J. Bennett

Monnah J. Bennett, 77, of Marietta passed away 1:40 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Morrison House in Zanesville. She was born November 28, 1941 in Washington County to Simon and Ruby (Ware) Layton.

On September 16, 1972 Monnah married Leonard Bennett who survives with a daughter Charity (Keith) Smith of Roseville, OH and a son Josh (Carie) Bennett of McConnelsville, OH. Also surviving is a brother Gaylord (Carole) Layton of Washington County.

In addition to her parents, Monnah was preceded in death by a granddaughter Ellery Bennett and brothers Marlin and Mervin Layton.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 7th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Valley Cemetery. Friends may call beginning at 5 pm on Monday with the family present from 5-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
