Nora L. Bruce

Nora L. Bruce, 81, of Marietta earned her angel wings on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 27, 1937 in Little Hocking a daughter of Lloyd and Sarah Jenkins Sayer.

Nora retired in 1998 after 25 years working at Harmar School, which she really enjoyed. She was a homemaker and loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

On May 1, 1954, she married Fred E. Bruce, Sr. and they celebrated 65 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband and children: Fred Bruce, Jr., Barbara Grayson and Sarah Dye; grandchildren: Bruce Dye, Kellee Vess, Chad Bruce, Tiffany Felter, Sam Bruce and Chastity Lang and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Janice Wilcox of Marietta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Randall J. Bruce, grandchildren and Chance Grayson and Benjamin Bruce, brother Charles Sayer and sisters, Ruth Davidson and Mary Rauch.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (June 18) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with interment following in Riverview Cemetery. Family will greet friends before the service from 10:00 until 1:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
