Paul D. Lent
Paul D Lent, 69, of Marietta, went home to be with our Lord and Saviour at 2:19 am on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1944, in Lower Salem a son of James and Elsie Moore Lent. He had been employed in the Shipping Department of Kardex until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany and was a member of Open Door Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Weaver Lent whom he married on April 2, 2009. He is also survived by 1 son, 2 daughters and 1 stepdaughter: Michelle (Rick) Vajdich of Marietta, Derrick (Rachel) Lent of Little Hocking, Paula (Jamey) Styer of Marietta, Kristina (Randy) Hendershot of Marietta; 5 grandchildren: Haylee Vajdich, Devin, Damien and Alexis Lent, Johnathan Styer; 3 step grandchildren: Clarissa Hendershot, Rebecca Hendershot and Bishop Nunn. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters: James J. Lent, Herbert (Lorraine) Lent, Naomi Okey, Carol (Gary) Blair.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Robert, Kenneth and Lloyd; 4 sisters: Eloise Miller, Eileen Allen, Donna Camp, Maxine Wilson.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday (August 8) at 2:00 pm at the Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Page officiating. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home after 2:00pm on Tuesday and on Wednesday with family present from 2-4 & 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
