Raymond E. Binegar, Sr

Raymond E. Binegar, Sr., 92 of Sycamore Valley, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at his home. He was born January 28, 1926, at home on Archers Fork Road to Eliza Matheny and Emmett Binegar.

Raymond was a World War II Veteran. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 18 for more than 50 years as a heavy equipment operator.

On February 26, 1955, he married Mary M. Busch who preceded him in death on November 3, 2008. He is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara (Aaron) Porter of Elba and Dianna (John) Parks of Lower Salem and son Randy (Barbie) Binegar of Logan, OH; daughter-in-law Judy Binegar of New Matamoras; 12 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter D. Darlene O’Brien, son Raymond E. Binegar, Jr.; brothers: Homer, Carl, Clark, Melvin; sister Cora VanWey; step grandson Jeremy W. Parks.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (April 18) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Newport Cemetery.
