Robert Lewis Hart

Robert Lewis Hart, 82, of Marietta passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 20, 1936 in St. Marys, WV, the son of the late Vaugn and Margaret Remmy Hart.

Robert worked for many years as a truck tire changer for Mahone Tire of Marietta. He retired from Bill Ford Trucking. He was a veteran of the Berlin Wall Crises call up, a member of the Marietta U. S. Army Unit. Robert was a professional roller skater and an avid Nascar fan. He was a graduate of Marietta High School.

Robert married Marilyn Gibson Hart on March 1, 1959. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He leaves behind his wife and 4 daughters: Kimberly Hart (Leona) of Charleston, WV, Debbie Boston (Mark) of Marietta, Sherri Nolen and Mary Hart (Christopher) of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren: Jessica, Taner, Tyler, Bradon Kelly, Tiffany, Kayden, Elaina, Brandon and Grant; 7 great grandchildren and one on the way, and his furry friend “Lucky.”

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (April 20) at 10:30am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in East Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors. Family will greet friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
