Roger L. French

Roger L. French, 85, of Marietta passed away at 2:45 am, Monday, July 29, 2019. He was born June 19, 1934, in Marietta a son of Laurence French and Audrey Matheny Sewell.

Roger was employed by B. F. Goodrich Company in the United States and Canada until his retirement. He was a member of Army National Guard and a member of Masonic Lodge #390.

On November 2, 1951, he married Kathleen West who survives with one son, Jeffrey L. (Melanie) French of Marietta and daughter Kristina (Dean) Propes of Panama City Beach, FL; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Norma French and son-in-law David Thacker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Steven French and daughter Cheryl French Thacker.

A special thank you to Marietta Home Health and Hospice for the care they gave Roger.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Aug. 1) at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park Chapel. Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 6:30 with Masonic services at 6:30.
