Russell W. Stewart, Jr.

Russell W. Stewart, Jr., 72, of Marietta passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born on October 16, 1946, in Marietta a son of the late Russell Stewart Sr. and Geraldine Carpenter Stewart.

Russell graduated from Salem Liberty High School, Class of 1964 and served in the U. S. Army from 1965 to 1967. He was a member of Carpenter Local #899 of Parkersburg and just became an honorary member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America after 50 years of service. He was a member of Faith Bible now Evergreen Bible Church where he was a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent and Deacon.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, WWE wrestling and going to grandchildren activities.

On June 12, 1970, Russell married Pamela J. Erb who survives with their daughter, Reginna (Matt) Peckens and son, Joshua (Stephenie) Stewart; grandchildren: Liam, Arilyn and Corbin Peckens and Ephraim and Brodic Stewart. He is also survived by his brother, Harold (Myra) Stewart and sister Ruth (George) Erb both of Lowell, OH; half brothers, William (Rita) Erb and James Erb both of Parkersburg and several other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, April 1st, at Evergreen Bible Church in Williamstown with interment following in Putnam Cemetery.
