Robert C. Wanzo

Robert C. Wanzo, 82, of Marietta passed away at 4:30 pm, Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.  He was born September 2, 1932, in Marietta a son of the late Paul E. and Helen Hill Wanzo.  He retired from Elkem and was a member of Soka Gakkai International and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force retiring after 20 years.

Bob married Teruko Yagyu who survives with 1 son and 3 daughters:  Richard (Sandy) Wanzo of Denver, CO, Helen Wanzo Mahoney of Marietta, Patty (Rick) Christie of Parkersburg, Nancy Wanzo of Belpre; grandchildren:  Jamie Ishii, Bobby Wanzo, Shawna Mahoney, Maggie Mahoney, Trey Christie, Ryan Christie, Keith Douglas, Esteban Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez; 2 great grandchildren, Vivian Wanzo and Chloe Gabriana.  He is also survived by his brother Paul (Shirley) Wanzo, Jr. and 2 sisters, Jean Wanzo Lincoln of Marietta and Joan Wanzo Green of Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Wanzo and sister Lois Wanzo.
