Joseph C. Eddy
Joseph C. Eddy, 85, of Newport passed away at 12:31am, Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at his home. He was born June 1, 1930, in Newport, son of Clarence and Mary Elizabeth Adams Eddy. He had been employed as a millwright at Chrysler Motors.
He is survived by one son and two daughters, Vickie (James) Fleming of Newport, Kim (Richard) Pope of Ravenna, OH, James (Candy) Eddy of Akron; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. He is also survived by brothers: Richard (Marge) Eddy, Wayne (Rita) Eddy, Ford Eddy and Jerry Eddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, former wife Mildred Eddy, brothers: Clarence, Kenneth, William, Stanley and Forrest Eddy; sisters, Virginia Eddy Waters and Betty Jane Parker.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (July 10) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Barker Cemetery.
