Kenneth Forrest Chidester, Sr.

Kenneth Forrest Chidester, Sr. 91, of Marietta passed away at 4:20pm, Thursday, August 27, 2015, at his home. He was born July 16, 1924, in Marietta a son of Albert Cleveland Chidester and Lena Nicholson Chidester.
Kenneth retired from B. F. Goodrich and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II and was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.
On February 18, 1946, he married Ruth Naomi Burns who preceded him in death on April 22, 1997. He is survived by 4 sons and 2 daughters: Franklin (Janette) Chidester of Marietta, Terry Chidester of Lewisville, OH, Dale (Carma) Chidester of Marietta, Albert (Geniece) Chidester of Thornville, OH, Sandra (Daniel) Francis of Marietta, Sue (Merle) Hall of Marietta, 29 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Naomi Muntz and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Kenneth F. Chidester, Jr., grandson Eric Chidester and 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (Aug. 31) at 10:00am at Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Page officiating. Interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors.
