Gerald Allen Wilson
Gerald Allen Wilson, 78, of Marietta passed away at 4:23pm, Friday, August 28, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 14, 1937, in Marietta son of Loren Harold Wilson and Julia Duvall Wilson.
Gerald retired from Marietta City School in 2004 and was a veteran of 21 years of the U.S. Navy.
On March 27, 1970, he married Audrea Kaneff. They were married for 45 years. She survives with one son and three daughters: Anthony Wilson, Dianna Kirkpatrick, Kellie (Todd) Kepperling and Julie (Steve) Lent, 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Thomas and brother, David Wilson and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Judy O’Curann.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Sept. 1) at 11:00am at Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating. Entombment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
