Betty C. Green

Betty C Green, 63, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at her home after a year and a half battle with bone and lung cancer.  She was born July 25, 1952, in Wood County, WV, to the late Charles William Baker, Sr. and Betty Morrow.

Betty enjoyed playing Bingo and her computer before she became ill.  She loved being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with her 4-legged children, McCallster and Mya.

On October 30, 1970, she married Gerald E. Green who preceded her in death on May 12, 2010.  Betty is survived by her daughters, Serena (Andrew) Erb and Fantasy (Michael Doak) Green both of Marietta; grandchildren:  Matthew (Kassandra) Erb, Shanda Erb, and Miracle Green, Laikyen Doak and Kaden Hale and great grandchild Briar Erb all of her home and a very special friend Russell Brooks, Jr.

In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by an infant son Jeremy Green, sister Susie Cody and Georgia Baker; brothers Charles Baker, Jr. and Larry Starkey. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday (Dec. 28) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home followed by cremation.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home before the service from 9 until 11:00 am.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
