Max Norris Hill

Max Norris Hill, age 84, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 11:15am at the Muskingum Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Beverly, Ohio.  He was born on July 19, 1931 in Wesley Township, Ohio to Clyde and Nancy (Norris) Hill and was the youngest boy of eleven children.  He loved music and would often break into song, just for the joy of it.  He also had a great love of animals.  He enjoyed being outdoors and as a young man, he would get a sack of White Castle sliders and whet his line.  He had a huge heart and helped anyone that needed it.

 
He married Dot (Flowers) Hill on October 20, 1957 and worked as a Plumbers Helper at Northside Plumbing in Columbus, Ohio.  After leaving that position, he followed his dream to be on the open road and became an Over-the Road truck driver until he retired.  
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Hill Griffiths (Jeff Nickley) of Virginia MN and Jennifer McDougal (Matthew) of Waterford OH and his two grand-children Kinzley and Wesley, his sisters Madlyn Willis (David), Linda Harris (Richard), Betty Farley, Carolyn (Sally) Hill, and brother Curtis Hill; as well as, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
 
Max was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dot, and brothers Irvin, Robert, Myron, Lowell and Conrad.
 
The Celebration of Life will be held at Marietta Bible Center on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 2pm.  The family will greet friends and family from 1pm until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name, to the Humane Society of Ohio Valley at 90 Mount Tom Rd. Marietta, OH 45750 or at HSOV.org. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family.
