Charles H. J. Haas
Charles H. J. Haas, 84, of Beverly went home to be with the Lord surrounded by family at 11:20 pm, April 14, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born November 5, 1931, in Washington County, OH, a son of Norman Glenn Haas and Leona Wenzel Haas.
He was employed at Globe Metallurgical Company, retiring after 31 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force in Korea, serving with Chuck Yeager. He was a greeter at HarborSite Baptist Church in Marietta, a member of Noble County Farm Bureau, VFW Post at Byesville and a member of Noble County Democrat Club.
On April 20, 1957 he married to Loraina Everson and they were married for 56 years before she preceded him in death on October 14, 2013.
Charles is survived by 4 sons and 1 daughter: Charles (Christina) Haas of Caldwell and their children Charlee and Casey; Rodney (Kathy) Haas of Dexter City and their children Chrystal, Heather and Cheyenne; Greg Haas of Dexter City and his children Tressa, Nicole, Dustin; Fred (Susan) Haas of Caldwell and his son Cole; Jacquelyn (Tim) Prichard of Lowell and their children Zachary, Jacob and Timothy, several great grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 sister and 3 brothers: Donna Williamson, Gary Haas, Jim Haas and Jack Haas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Loraina and sister Glendora.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (April 19) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Arbuckle officiating. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday after 2:00pm. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
