Helen Joanne (Biehl) Cross
Helen Joanne (Biehl) Cross of Reynoldsburg, passed away Thursday morning July 28, 2016 at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor.
The second of seven children, she was born October 7, 1924 in Marietta Ohio to Pearl and Florence (Wendelken) Biehl.
Helen is survived by son Mark Cross, Bexley; brother Verne Biehl and sister Carman Seevers, Marietta; sister Velma Comstock, Utica; sister-in-law Margaret Biehl, Athens, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Meriem Greene, Marietta; Brothers: William Biehl, Athens; and Richard Biehl, Marietta.
Helen graduated from Marietta High School in 1943 and went to work in Washington DC at the Pentagon during World War II.
She was a long time member of Eastview Methodist Church in Whitehall where she volunteered in the office and food pantry.
Funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, August 1st at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Berg Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:30 am Monday until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations in Helen's name to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, The American Cancer Society or Mount Carmel Hospice.
