Charles B. “Buster” Brown
Charles B “Buster” Brown, 84, of Reno, passed away Aug. 9, 2016.
He was born in Stafford, Ohio on May 22, 1932, to the late Hubert and Maude Leasure Brown.
He had worked at BFGoodrich and then retired from RJF International. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed working on cars. He was a member of The Marietta Church of Christ and The American Legion Post 64. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne, US Army 1952-1954.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Margaret Erb Brown, four children, Charleton Brown (Janet); Marla Brown, Melanie Dishong (Carl Jr.) of Marietta and Mona Chesnutt (Joe) of Waterford, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, one brother Don Brown (Susan), one sister Diane Minniefield and many close friends and Church family.
In addition to his parents, “Buster” was preceded in death by three brothers, Rick, Denny and Franklin Brown and one sister Joan Thomas.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home in Marietta, with Bob Feathers officiating. The family will be present from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to the service on Friday. According to his wishes he will be cremated following the services.
