James Michael “Jim” Farley

He was born August 5, 1942 in Covington, KY to William and Virginia (Fleming) Farley. Jim had served in the US Army for 3 years before retiring from the Army National Guard after 24 years. He had been employed at American Cyanamid where he retired from after 25 years. Jim spend his retirement working and spending time with his son Joe at his car dealership in Marietta. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 64 and VFW Post 5108. He enjoyed going to car shows and especially loved taking his Mustang. Jim also cherished his grandchildren.
On February 21, 1975 he married his beloved wife of 41 years, Paulette Snider who survives with his children Millie Starner (Mike), David Leach (Karla), Joe Farley (Melissa), Jamie Leach (Sherry) and Rick Farley (Alicha). Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren with 2 more expected and brothers and sister Sonny Hardman, Billie Simms (Chester), Ronald Farley (Juanita), Kay Farley, Larry “Toby” Farley (Virginia) and Melissa Lauderman (Dale).
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by an infant son Robert Curtis Farley, a mother-in-law Mamie Stephenson and a brother David Farley.
Funeral services will be held 5pm Wednesday, August 24th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 3 until the hour of service on Wednesday. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
