Willard L. Marsee, Sr.
Willard Lee Marsee, Sr., 76, of Reno passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 4:05 am at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born August 6, 1940, to Benjamin and Rebecca Duncan Marsee in Harlan County, Kentucky.
Willard graduated from East Sparrow High School in Baltimore, MD, and worked in the Washington County Maintenance Department. He loved to fish, hunt, garden and spend time with his family and loved all animals. He supported several charities: children’s charities, Alzeheimers research associations and nature causes.
He is survived by the love of his life of 55 years, Ruth Ann Brown Marsee, and their 7 children: Winona Marsee, Willard Marsee, Jr., Teresa M. (Phil) Crane, Veronica A. (Roger) Clark, Catherine (Dave) Hasley, James E. (Debbie) Marsee and Dorothy (Lee) Dunn; 8 grandchildren: Heather, Samantha and Chris Marsee, Dwight Crane, Alisha and Cody Clark, Abigail and Michael Dunn and 4 great grandchildren: Temperance Marsee, Ahnyah Clark, Lexus and Grant Clark and brother Ben Marsee and sister Helen Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister and grandson Matthew Dunn.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Nov.17) at 1:30 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Barker Cemetery.
