Clyde W. Stollar
Clyde W. Stollar, 92, of Marietta passed away at 4:30am, Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Marietta Center. He was born September 27, 1924, in Waterford to William and Lora Mary Burchett Stollar.
Clyde was in the Maintenance Department for the Washington County Court House where one of his duties was setting the clock in the tower. On August 25, 1944, she married Elsie Riley who preceded him in death August 29, 2005.
During WWII, he was an airplane mechanic at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Clyde is survived by one son, Gary (Linda) Stollar of Marietta, one daughter, Sharon (Jim) Hibbett of Hilliard, OH, two grandchildren, Brandie of Marietta and Lorali of Hillard, sister Mary Lou and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, Howard and Orvill and 2 sisters, Clara Mae and Cleda.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday (Nov. 29) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
