Vivian E. Skaggs
Vivian E. Skaggs, 88, formerly of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2010, in Canton, Ohio.
She was born on March 14, 1922, in Antrim, Ohio, a daughter of Alexander H. and Florence Luella Spear Stockdale. She had lived all her life in Newport.
Vivian is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Hines of Reno, granddaughters: Jackie (Lloyde) Lauderman of Reno, Tammie (Byron) Sunderman of Newport; grandson: Rick Hines of Marietta, Randy (January) Hines of New Mexico, Scott Hines of Marietta and Steve Hines of S. C., 19 great grandchildren, 6 great, great grandchildren, and several nephews, nieces and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years William B. Skaggs, son Donald Hines, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (March 14) at 1:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Antrim Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 until the time of the service.
