Jeffrey Allen Parks
Jeffrey Allen Parks, 34, of Marietta, passed away accidentally while working on his beloved family river lot on Friday, April 9, 2010.
Jeff was born on March 2, 1976, in Marietta to his proud and loving parents, Daniel and Charlotte Parks. He graduated from Marietta High School where he excelled at football and track gaining multiple varsity letters. Jeff was an active member of District Counsel 53 Painters Local, where his talents and abilities were realized in the construction industry.
Jeff is survived by his father Daniel Parks, mother Charlotte Parks and Al Young, his grandmothers, Mary Parks and Wilma Waterman, his cherished brothers, Todd Parks and his fiancé Shawndra Cox, William “Bill” Parks and his wife Jessie, and Jonathan Parks, several very close aunts, uncles and cousin, as well as a multitude of friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leonard Parks and David Waterman III, an aunt Judy Parks and uncle Barry Snyder.
Jeff was a man who lived his life for the experience, not for the accumulation of material items. Anyone that knew Jeff would say that above all, he had fun. Tales of the stunts that Jeff pulled will forever surround the legacy of the man and will be recounted by his loved ones for the rest of their lives. We can all rest assured that he took his last adventure, the one into the afterlife, with the same fearless attitude that he lived his life. All that knew him, loved him. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14th, at 10:30am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Creighton Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Monday evening at 6:00pm and until the service on Wednesday.
