Harry A. Gray
Harry A. Gray of Fleming, Ohio passed away Monday (April 12, 2010) at Marietta Memorial Hospital at 8:15 PM.
He was born Jan 20, 1925 in Marietta son of the late Zadie Howard Trella and James Wesley Gray.
He attended school in Marietta, Ohio and was a machinist and welder by trade. He retired from Pattin Manufacturing Company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a pilot and avid flyer for most of his life. He enjoyed restoring and flying his private planes. He enjoyed taking family members up and flying over area scenery.
He was married to Dorothy Jean Jurden on October 1, 1943 who resides in Fleming, Ohio where they have lived the past 45 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Patricia Ball (Kenneth) of Waterford, Ohio; Donna Kern (Don) of Marietta; and Janet Greathouse (Steve) of Barlow, Ohio; and two sons Kenneth Gray (Theresa) of Mountain View, Arkansas; and Darren Gray of Veto, Ohio; 14 grand children and 18 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Frank Trella, one daughter Sue Ann Martin, and one infant grandson Kenneth Gray Jr.
Funeral services will be held at McClure Schafer Lankford Funeral home at 11 AM on Friday (April 16). Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Thursday April 15, 2010. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park with full military rights.
