Norman G. (Fizz) Beardmore
Norman G. (Fizz) Beardmore, 71, of Graysville, died Saturday (July 31, 2010) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 25,1939 at Harriettsville, Ohio to Harley R. and Lorah I. Day Beardmore.Norman spent most of his life as a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #18. He loved spending time with his friends, family and especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed truck and tractor pulls, mechanic work, fishing and listening to country music being played by friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Stark Beardmore and six daughters, Debbie (Rick) Ramage of Senecaville, Sheila (Troy) Todd of Beverly, Joann (Jack) McNabb of Beverly, Lorah (Matthew) Porter of Philo, Brenda (Shane) Sampson of Fleming and Janet (Curt) Barth of Lowell. Fifteen grandchildren, Jack (Heather) Hupp Jr., Richard Ramage, Judson Ramage, Keara Ramage, Kayla (Blair) Binegar, Troy Todd Jr., Nathan (Johanna) McNabb, Derrick McNabb, Ethan Porter, Lindsay Porter, Alexander Porter, Cory Sampson, Danielle Sampson, Mitchel Barth and Jacey Barth. Also survived by Steve “Kojak” Novaks whom he thought of as a son and two sisters, Wanda Hostutler of Rix Mills, OH and Linda Moore of Summerfield, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and stepmother Waldine Hendershot Beardmore, brothers-in-law, Larry Stark, Dean Stark, and Charles Moore, sisters-in-law, Elda Stark, Hazel Stark, Norma Stark, and Catherine Mayo.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (August 4th) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Stafford Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 pm on Tuesday until the hour of the service. Family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8. Donations are requested to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
