Everett Dean McIntosh
Everett Dean McIntosh, 74, of Devola departed this world to spend eternity with Jesus on November 29, 2010.
He was born on September 15, 1936, in Marietta a son of Charles and Hazel VanWey McIntosh. He was a lifelong resident of Marietta. Everett had been a Fenton glass craftsman from a teen to the time of a life changing auto accident at the age of 46 when he sustained a head injury. He was a member of Putnam Congregational Church, had been a former Eagles member and was an avid Browns, Indians and Buckeyes fan and before his injury he loved playing softball and golf. He enjoyed the O’Neill Center Daycare Program for many years from its opening until the past 2 years when health issues prevented his participation.
On February 15, 1958, he married Helen L. Kerns who survives with 3 children: Pamela Sue (Keith) Ratliff of Westerville, Eric Daniel (Jenny) McIntosh of Virginia Beach, VA, and Andrew Mark (Nanette) McIntosh of Devola; 6 grandchildren: Shawn, Alex and Natasha McIntosh, Amy Farrar, Tyler and Tanner McIntosh and a great grandson, Noah. He is also survived by his siblings: Helen Travis, Lydabelle Delancey, Kenneth, Robert (Jerry) and George (Butch) McIntosh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 half brothers: Marion Parsons and Franklin Beaver.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday (December 2nd) at Putnam Congregational Church with Pastors David and Barbara Jackson officiating. Interment of his ashes will follow at Putnam Cemetery in Devola. The family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church.
