Nancy Riggs

Nancy Riggs, 76, of Marietta passed away at 10:43 am, Saturday, August 23, 2025 at her home. Nancy was born on June 27, 1949, in Marietta a daughter of Sandford Thompson and Nellie Bradberry Thompson.

Nancy grew up in Newport and was a 1967 graduate of Newport High School. She was a Christian and a 50year plus member of Sixth and Washington Church of Christ.

In 1968, she married Joe Riggs who survived with her sister Kay Payne of Hinton, WV.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday (Aug. 27) at 11:00 am in Oak Grove Cemetery. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated made to the Ohio Valley Humane Society, 90 Mt. Tom Road, Marietta, OH 45750.
