Irene “Diane” Fleming, 81, of Devola passed away at 8:35pm, Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born June 28, 1944 in Columbus a daughter of Cecil I. Vickers and Genevie “Jenny” Sims Vickers.

Diane was a graduate of Marietta High School, Class of 1962 and had been employed by Dye & Dye PA, Robinson, Caltrider and Tenney, Big Bear, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Bob Bingler Ford and retired from Haessly Hardwood Lumber Co.

On May 7, 1988, Diane married Phil Fleming who survives with one son, Robert (Kimberly) Hendershot; 4 grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Kyleigh, Kamryn; 6 step children: Terry Fleming, Steven Fleming, Kerry (Marie) Fleming, Kelly (Tim) Casto, Kenneth (friend Tami) Fleming, Kendra (John) Blessing and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nephew and niece and numerous cousins and cherished friends, including one life-long friend of 64 years, Michael Turner.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, James R. Vickers and her in-law, Chester and Faye Fleming.

“Thanks for the wonderful memories shared with my near-perfect husband, Phil. You were my best friend and the best decision I ever made. Thanks to my loving son, Bob Hendershot and Kim and their four daughters for allowing me to share their love.” Diane leaves behind her dream car, a red and black ’73 Mustang convertible “lady in red” –treat her kindly.

Thanks to a special step daughter, Kelly for all the help and kindness over the years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday (April 21) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Putnam Cemetery. Family will greet friends before the service from 9:00 until the hour of service. Messages may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
