LaStella Belle Upton
LaStella Belle Upton, 76, of Lower Salem, passed away on June 13, 2026 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born December 10, 1949 in Marietta to Clyde Wayne and Verneda Belle (Rumbold) Cronin.
LaStella was a homemaker, who was always cooking and reading, but she really loved just spending time with her dogs. LaStella lived in Florida for many years with her daughter before returning back to the area.
She had married Randy Upton who preceded her in death on October 11, 2018.
Surviving is her granddaughter, Christina Friend.
In addition to her parents and husband, LaStella was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Lassiter and brothers William Wayne Cronin, Ernest Eugene Cronin and Jack Duane Cronin.
According to her wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be observed at this time. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting with her arrangements.
