Marie Turner
Marie Turner, 95, of Marietta passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Harmar Place. She was born on August 19, 1917, in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of Willie and Bertha Heintz Hendershot.
Marie was a homemaker, a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, past member of RSVP and Marietta Senior Citizens.
On February 19, 1938, she married Charles Turner who preceded her in death on October 7, 1985.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Patricia Hetrick and Faith (Kenneth) Gilkeson all of Marietta; 5 grandchildren: Kelly Riccobene, Kathleen Gendrachi, Chris Turner, Kim Myers, Fritz Hetrick; 9 great grandchildren; brother George Hendershot of Fleming and sister Paulena Shawver of Riverside, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Charles Turner, 1 great granddaughter, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (March 16) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Monsignor Michael Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in New St. Marys Cemetery.
