Bernard “Bernie” Knotts,

Bernard “Bernie” Knotts, 61, passed away on Wednesday (July 17, 2013) at his Marietta home. He was born on July 11, 1952, in Marietta to the late Bernard Knotts and Ernestine Bonham Knotts. He was a 1971 graduate of Marietta High School and earned an Associate Degree from Hocking College. Bernie worked in construction and enjoyed traveling, photography and the out-of-doors.

He is survived by his mother, 3 daughters and 1 son: Nicola Westbrook of Marietta, Emily Knotts of Marietta, Elizabeth Knotts of Virginia, Robert Knotts of Marietta; 6 grandchildren: McKienze, Hanah, Ali, Abigail, Ava, Trace.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother Bill and nephew Joey.

As per his wishes his body will be cremated and a memorial will be held on Saturday (July 20) at 10:00 am at Open Door Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Page officiating. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
