Charles Eldred Wolfe
Charles Eldred Wolfe, 87 of Marietta passed away at 10:11 pm on Saturday, August 3, 2013. He was born in Findlay, OH, to Charles Frederick and Catherine Latham Wolfe. He graduated in 1945 from Kenmore High School and then served in the U. S. Army. He was a press department foreman for Akron Porcelain in Akron, Ohio until his retirement in 1982. He and his wife later moved to Marietta to be near their daughter. He enjoyed gardening and woodcarving.
On April 24, 1948, he married Lena Tennant who survives with one daughter, Susan (Daniel) Hale of Marietta and son Roger E. (Shelley) Wolfe of Greenbay, WI; grandson Scott Hale of Marietta: step grandchildren: Abigail and Drake Sanford of Greenbay, WI; sister Lois Fleet and brother David L. ((Nancy) Wolfe both of Akron.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday (Aug. 7) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday after 2:00 with family greeting friends from 2 until 4. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
