  • Mary Alice Graham

    Mary Alice Graham 80, of New Matamoras, OH, passed away at Marietta Memorial Hospital on Thursday February 18th, 2021. She was born on August 8, 1940, in Washington County to the late Karl and Janie Eddy.
    Mary attended Lawrence High School. She retired from Frontier School District where she worked as a cook for many years. She was a faithful member of Eddy’s Ridge Church of Christ. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and sister. She enjoyed volunteering for several years at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Mary loved all her family and enjoyed the large family gatherings whether it be dinner on Sundays after church services, weiner roasts, or gatherings to celebrate family occassions. She was an avid quilter, gardener, and loved her flower gardens (Roses and Iris)

    Ronald L. Eddy, 82, of Marietta passed away at 12:35 am, Thursday, February 18, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    He was born March 8, 1938, in Washington County, OH a son of Edward Virgil Eddy and Vera Louise Smith Eddy. Ronald was employed as a truck driver.

  • David A. VanWey

    David A. VanWey, 88, of Newport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at The Arbors of Marietta. He was born on September 4th, 1932, in Newport Township son of the late Ralph W. VanWey and Mildred P. Bogard VanWey.
    David was a member of the Beech Grove Methodist Church. He was employed by the River Gas Co. until his retirement, April 1989 after 33 years and 6 months service. He also served as Scout Master of Troop 224 of Newport in the 60’s. He held the office of Union Director of Local #999, Clarksburg, WV. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1950 until 1954 and was a member of Moose Lodge #1823 in Marietta. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting and singing Karaoke.

    Virginia Pauline Jorgensen, 91, of Williamstown, WV, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Embassy Cambridge in Cambridge, OH. She was born on April 20, 1929, in Medina, OH, a daughter of Delbert Mulinex and Hilda Miller Mulinex Schneeberger.
    Pauline was a graduate of Strongsville High School. She worked for 25 years for Attorney Richard J. Thomas and later as a secretary for the Mayor of Marietta. She was a member of Sixth and Washington Street Church of Christ. Pauline was active in Legal Secretary’s Association, Williamstown Senior Citizen’s Center (especially their enjoyable bus trips), her Church and the Woman’s Club in Williamstown. She was an avid reader and liked to garden.

    Ronald Dean Hornsby, 51, of Marietta passed away at 10:20 am on Monday, February 15, 2021, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on May 29, 1969, in Marietta a son of the late Carolyn Hornsby.
    Ron was employed as a truck driver and was known as a great bass player and loved all kinds of music.

    Jeffery T. Miller, 54, of Marietta, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 1, 1966, in Marietta a son of Jerry and Diana Biehl Miller.
    Jeff was a graduate of Warren High School and attended Washington County Career Center in the Auto Mechanics program. He was employed at Ewing School (WCBDD) for over 30 years in the maintenance department. Jeff enjoyed Grand National Cross Country and National 4-wheel racing and participated in tractor pulls.
