George E. McIntyre, Jr., 60 of Marietta passed away 8:39 pm, Saturday, January 8, 2022.
He was born on December 13, 1961, in Marietta a son of George and Dorothy McCloud McIntyre.
George was retired from the State of West Virginia, Department of Highways.
Sharon Kay Lockhart, 68, of Parkersburg passed away on January 8, 2022, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born March 11, 1953, in Parkersburg to Dallas Dotson and Irene Gilchrist. She was a homemaker.
Fred R. McAlarney, 91, of Belpre passed away at 11:46 am, Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born at Akron, OH, May 15, 1930, to F. E. and Ruth N. Baker McAlarney.
Fred attended Elba Grade School and graduated from Salem-Liberty High School, Class of 1948. He was employed at B. F. Goodrich in Marietta for 9 ½ years and worked at H. O. Canfield Co. at Seymour, IN for 19 years. He started Scottsburg Extruded Plastic Co., which later became Holms Extruder Plastic Co. at Scottsburg, Ind. In 1978, he started a Magnetic Extrusion Operation for Magnetic, Inc. at Cincinnati, OH.
Robin Sue Walker, 57, of Whipple passed away at 9:36 am at her home on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was born February 22, 1964 in Marietta, a daughter of Judy Darlene Hupp and Harold Lee Schau.
Angela Leigh Carpenter, 34, of Reno went to be with the Lord at 11:14 am, Thursday, December 30, 2021. She was born on April 13, 1987, in Dumas, TX, to the late Sharon Gibbs and Sean Carpenter of Marietta.
Thomas Eugene Hall, 75, of State Route 26, Marietta, Ohio passed peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
Tom was the son of the late Charles and Mary Rinard Hall of New Matamoras, Ohio. He graduated from Stover High School (New Matamoras) in 1964 and Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio in 1968.
Verne E. Biehl, 93, of Marietta passed away at 5:34 am, Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born December 18, 1928, in Marietta to Pearl Leslie and Florence Sylvia Wendelken Biehl.
Verne had been employed at Hall Brothers and Mahone Tires. He was a graduate of Marietta High School in 1947 and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and a member of Marietta Firefighters Association and Y’s Men Club.
