    Frances E. Harris, 88, of Marietta passed away on Monday, October 25, 2020, at Cambridge Care Center, Cambridge, Ohio.
    She was born on May 25, 1932, in Wadsworth, WV a daughter of Ocie Brandon Morehead. Frances was a retired nurses aid.

  • Benny D. Dye, Sr.

    Benny D. Dye, Sr., 76, of Marietta passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born June 23, 1944, in Marietta a son of Herman Gosset, Sr. and Sarah Dell Dye. Benny was raised by his grandparents, Clayton and Mary Dye.
    He was a graduate of Waterford High School in 1964 and served in the U.S. Army stationed in Panama during the Vietnam War. Benny worked for Marietta Concrete and later Marietta Structures and retired from Carr Concrete. He loved watching football, especially Dallas Cowboys. When he was younger he enjoyed playing basketball.

    Samuel Pugh, 84 of Parkersburg passed away at his home on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 5:04 pm.
    He was born August 18, 1936, in Williamstown, WV a son of Roy Pugh and Iona Dye Pugh. He was retired from Public Debt and was a member of the Williamstown Masonic Lodge #129.

    William Logan “Bill” Starr, 92, of Marietta passed away on Saturday (Oct. 24) at his home. He was born on August 5, 1928 in Noble County, OH, a son of Benjamin Clark and Hazel Dell Blake Starr.
    Bill graduated in 1946 from Belle Valley High School where he was Valedictorian and lettered in basketball and won numerous awards. He joined the U. S. Army and served from 1947 until 1949. He then graduated from Ohio University. He retired from UnionCarbide/Elkem in 1984.

  • Nellie Ruby

    Nellie Ruby, 78, of Marietta passed away October 24, 2020 at Waterview Pointe Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Marietta on April 4, 1942 to Leo Clark and Sarah Alice (Stage) Hufford.
    Nell was a 1960 of Marietta High School and had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Richard Chociej and later for Dr. Christopher Linscott. Nell loved to write and was a member of the Sacred Way Poets.
    Preceding Nellie in death was her special friend of 43 years Marilyn Carrel.
    Nellie will be greatly missed by many people, especially her close friends Chris, Shawna, and Sophia Linscott.

  • Kenneth L. Morrow

    Kenneth Leroy Morrow, 85, of Marietta, Ohio went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2020.
    He was born in Marietta, Ohio on November 22, 1934 to Leslie and Oma Morrow.
    He retired from the City of Marietta after 33 years. He enjoyed attending church service, reading his Bible daily, gardening, sitting in his rocking chair, going for walks, listening to gospel music, and the quality time that he spent with his family and friends, especially his great grandchildren. He was an active member at Marietta Bible Center Church for 52 years.
