    On August 21, 2020, Kathleen Barr of Wingett Run, Ohio went home to be with Jesus. She was born on August 5, 1953 to David and Nancy Roberts in Springfield, Ohio. She is survived by her two sons, Jordan and Dane Barr, her brother Mark Roberts and sisters Sandy Klepac and Amy Flint. Jordan and his wife, Dawn, live in Charlottesville, Virginia with their four children, Alicyn, Gideon, Daisy, and Benjamin. Dane and his wife, Sunnie, live in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, with their three children, Malachi, Oliver, and Penelope. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

  • Florence Biggs Schlotterbeck

    Florence Biggs Schlotterbeck, 73, of Marietta passed away at August 17, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born November 28, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Dorsal and Hazel Randolph Biggs.
    Florence was a graduate of Pomeroy High School and graduated from nursing school. She was a LPN at Marietta Memorial Hospital and later worked at “Wee Care Day Care” in Williamstown. She crocheted and loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids.

  • Chris K. Wetzel

    Chris K. Wetzel, 57, of Marietta went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2020 at his home.
    He was born on March 22, 1963 to Thomas and Lynne Wetzel. He was a 1981 graduate of Marietta High School. Chris served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Midway in Japan for four years. He was a Boatswain’s Mate Second Class (BM2) in the 2nd Division, Deck E5. Chris was well-respected by his shipmates and was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.

    George E. “Buddy” Dalton, Sr., 75, of Marietta passed away at 7:30 pm, Sunday, August 16, 2020, at his home. He was born October 31, 1944, in Morgantown, WV, a son of Russell and Bertha Walker Dalton.
    George was a service manager for Gress Equipment for over 30 years. He was a member of First Church of The Nazarene and of the Operating Engineers. He enjoyed woodworking and watching his grandchildren’s activities.

    Clyta Necia Swartz Patterson, 82, of Marietta joined her late husband Roger David Patterson who died May 2, 2015 in eternity with the Lord on August 14, 2020. She was born August 12, 1938, at Reno a daughter of the late Raymond And Elsie Rohrer Swartz. Clyta was a longtime member of the Bethel Lighthouse Baptist Church.

  • Norma Ann Drake

    Norma passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020, at her home at the age of 76. She was born February 11, 1944 at Marietta, Ohio, to Clarence (Ted) Otto Jeffers and Pauline Rose Jeffers.
    She attended Willard and Phillips Elementary Schools. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1961. She retired from the Bureau of the Public Debt with 36 years of service. She was former co-owner of E.W. Drake Roofing and Sheet Metal. In 1962 she married Earl W. Drake who died September 16, 2013.
