Jared C. Smith, 22, of Beverly, passed away June 19, 2020 at his home. He was born January 10, 1998 in Marietta to Craig and Cynthia (Baughan) Smith. Jared was a 2016 graduate of Fort Frye High School. He loved fishing, hunting and hanging out with his friends. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Thomas Mack Martin, 93, of Marietta passed away at 4:48 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at his home.
Tom was born in Wheeling, WV, on January 28, 1927, the youngest of three sons (Albert Frank and Glenn Russell) born to Clyde Ray and Nancy (Nannie) Jane Morris Martin. A year and a half later, the family moved to Marietta.
He followed his two brothers into the military and Tom joined the Navy as a medic and served at the naval hospital in the State of Washington. Following Tom’s discharge, he returned to Marietta and returned to the Boy Scouts and became a Scout Master and was on the Scout Master’s Roundtable.
Donna Jean Hill, 83, of Waterford passed away at 9:20 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 30, 1937, in Elizabeth, WV, a daughter of Forrest and Eula Snider Bonnette. Donna was a farmer, homemaker and a clerk for Palmer Township.
Heather Dawn Thompson, 39, of Williamstown passed away at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born February 26, 1981 in Parkersburg. Heather was a graduate of Williamstown High School. She was a very special girl who touched everyone’s hearts that she came in contact with. Her other siblings state “She was the ‘favorite’ child.” Heather would like everyone to know …. “I ‘donut’ about you but I’m Awesome.”
Robert J. Becker, Sr., 99, of Reno passed away at 9:55 pm, Friday, June 12, 2020, at Heartland of Marietta. He was born April 26, 1921, in Marietta a son of Edward and Matilda Beiser Becker.
He had been employed as a millwright with Local #1755, was a member of Little Muskingum Congregational Church, American Union Lodge #1 F & AM.
Wretha Sue Lynch, 57, of Marietta passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 22, 1963, in Marietta to the late Harold Smith and Carolyn Tidd Smith of Reno. Wretha was a homemaker.
Glen N. Boord, 88, of Marietta passed away at 3:20 am on June 11, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Wood County, Wv to the late Roscoe and Alice (Wigal) Boord. A sister Norma Oldaker of Parkersburg survives. In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by brothers Argel Boord and Edward Boord.
According to his wishes he will be cremated and no services will be observed. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family.
