    Stephen K. Schofield, 63, of Whipple passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Marietta on August 11, 1956, a son of Jack and Ramona Schofield.
    Steve was a graduate of Fort Frye High School. He was employed at the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. He was a past member of the Salem Township Fire Department. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, genealogy and his family and grandchildren.

    Gary E. Cheeseman, 76, of Marietta passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020, at his home.

  • Robert Dean “Bob” Proctor

    Robert Dean “Bob” Proctor, 88, formerly of Knoxville, TN and currently of Williamstown passed away at his home on April 6, 2020. He was born in Marietta on May 26, 1931, a son of Milton Dean Proctor and Phyliss Katherine Webber Proctor.
    Bob was a graduate of Barlow High School and received his Bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics from Ohio State University. He was drafted and served in the U. S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and then returned to OSU where he received his MBA. He was employed by the U. S. Department of Agriculture. Bob enjoyed sports, walking, puzzles and life in general. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, OSU Buckeyes and the Marietta College PIO’s. He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Knoxville, TN.

  • Jerry L. Miller

    Jerry L. Miller, 74, of Marietta (Pinehurst) went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Marietta on May 2, 1945, the son of Harold and Letha Johnson Miller.
    Jerry was a graduate of Warren High School in 1962 and graduated from Andrews Barber College. He had served in the U. S. Army and the Army Reserves for 7 years. Jerry was first employed as a barber at Heyrock’s Barber Shop and was then employed for 42 years by Union Carbide, Gulf, Chevron and Chevron-Phillips as a chemical technician. He was a member of Harmar Masonic Lodge 390 and Sixth and Washington Street Church of Christ. Jerry enjoyed spending special time with his family and especially his church family.

  • Thomas “Mike” Grahame

    Thomas Michael “Mike” Grahame, 55, of Newport, passed away Saturday April 4th, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 17th, 1964 to the late Henry Thomas “Tom” Grahame and Janet Benson Grahame.
    He graduated from Frontier/WCCC in 1983, worked at the family business Tom’s Auto Wrecking until 2013 and then was employed at Hi-Vac as a service mechanic until he was diagnosed with Leukemia on May 3rd, 2019.

  • Al Tidd

    Joseph Allen “Al” Tidd, 83, of Reno passed away peacefully Friday, April 3, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    He was born July 12,1936 to Clyde Raymond and Mary Gail (Duffy) Tidd. He was employed by Crystal Ice when he met Wilna Bernadine Morey. Al and his brother Raymond frequented the Crystal Dairy and Johnston Restaurant where Bernadine worked. Being good friends and gentlemen, the brothers always offered to give Bernadine a ride home so she wouldn’t have to walk home late at night. One evening in particular Al and Raymond picked Bernadine up but they had to make a stop at a local factory for work. Raymond went in alone and purposefully stayed longer than necessary so Al and Bernadine could talk. That night Al walked Bernadine to her door. They married On February 18,1961. Al held many positions in the Frontier School District and retired as Transportation Supervisor and Head of Building maintenance. Al continued his role as Driver Education Instructor at Frontier High School after retirement and fondly referred to all the students as his “kids.”
