  • Helen Marie Carver Grady Carpenter

    Helen Marie Carver Grady Carpenter, 92, of Marietta passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at her home. She was born March 2, 1927, in Marietta a daughter of Harry Norval and Freda Marie Becker Carver.
    Helen was retired from Marietta Memorial Hospital in 1992 as a Phlebotomist. She loved to play Bingo and working in flower gardens.
    She married Ralph William Grady, Sr. who preceded her in death. On November 3, 1965, she married Otis Carpenter who preceded her in death November 8, 1997. She is survived by her children: Pamela Grady, Timothy (Charlotte) Grady both of Marietta, Tonya (Joseph) Duffey of Beverly, Tanya Sparks of Westminster, SC and Jeannie Carpenter of Florida; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a bother Kenny Carver.

  • Wayne Wagner

    Wayne B. Wagner, 84, passed away at The Inn at Winchester Trail in Canal Winchester, Ohio, on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. He was born on November 20, 1935, to Bernard and Carol (Knoch) Wagner in Marietta, Ohio.
    He attended Putnam School in Devola and graduated from Lowell High School and Marietta College.
    Wayne retired from the Bureau of Employment Services after 30 years with assignments in Marietta, Jackson and supervisory jobs in Columbus. He was in the National Guard for 42 years in Caldwell, Marietta, Athens and Logan. Wayne was Commander of a medical unit in Cincinnati for three years and served on the Brigade staff of the 112th Medical Brigade. He received numerous awards for service and participated in many exercises in the United States and Germany. He was a member of the Lowell Masonic Lodge 436. He was confirmed and was a lifetime member at St. John’s Evangelical Church in Lowell. He attended Vineyard Columbus Church for many years. Wayne’s hobbies included frequent travel, beekeeping, square dancing and horseback riding.

  • Grover C. Stewart

    Grover C. Stewart, 78, of Marietta met his heavenly father on November 19, 2019.
    Grover graduated from Flemington High School in WV and he was a painter. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and a true Mountaineer.

  • Wilda L. Eddy

    Wilda L. Eddy, 90, of Marietta passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 28, 1929, in Milltown (Newport) a daughter of Charles E. and Myrna Alberta King Martin.
    Wilda was a 1947 graduate of Lawrence High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a beloved wife and mother. She was an avid Reds fan and was proud to be a “poll worker” during elections. She was a member of Evergreen Bible Church.
    On November 27, 1948, she married Oran Eddy who preceded her in death on June 6, 2010.

  • David I. Lenhart

    David I. Lenhart, 74, of Marietta passed away at 2:14 pm, Monday, November 11, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born March 31, 1945, in Marietta a son of J. B. Lenhart and Violet Lenhart.
    Until his retirement, Dave worked at Dupont Corporation. He was a graduate of Marietta High School in 1964 and had been a member of Marietta Jaycees, Gilman United Methodist Church, Army Reserves and an active member of Neighborhood Watch.

  • Cathy Jo Mahoney

    Cathy Jo Mahoney was born July 13,1958 in New Matamoras, Ohio to Lucille Slonaker Addlesburger. Passed away November 6, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio at Riverside Hospital.
    Cathy is survived by her husband of 18 years, Ralph Mahoney, daughters Trish (Jason) Mahoney and Rebecca Gessel Sparks. Grandchildren: Abby (Andrew Hackney) Mahoney and Brooke (Levi Berry) Mahoney, Shawn Sparks, Leland and Aubrey Holder. Brothers: Richard, Lawrence, James, and John Addlesburger. Sisters-in-law Mary (David Shirey) Mahoney, and Sherry Mahoney Young and brother-in-law Frank (Lois) Mahoney. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Cathy was predeceased by her mother and father, Eugene Addlesburger, and sister Charlotte Bishop.
    Cathy loved music and spending time with family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was a long time member of the Marietta Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing rip off tickets and bingo.

  • Ronald D. Parsons, Sr.

    Ronald D. Parsons, Sr. of Marietta passed away at 8:26 am, Friday, November 1, 2019. Born March 15, 1954 in Marietta, he was the son of Lewis Parsons and Mabel Ruth Lee Parsons.
    Ron was a graduate of Lorain High School in 1973. He worked at Ford Motor Company Lorain County for 18 years before coming to Marietta where he was Washington County Deputy Sheriff working in the jail and was later a Probation Officer. He was a member of the Masonic Ely Lodge 424 in Vermilion, Ohio. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and played a good hand of poker now and then.
