    Jason Eric “Pooh” Tidd, 43, of Newport passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020, at OSU Medical Center.
    He was born February 28, 1977, in Marietta a son of Ron and Irene Leasure Tidd. Jason was a mechanic at Wable Ford. He was a graduate of Frontier High School, Class of 1996. Jason loved dirt track racing and to hunt.

  • Lawrence “Larry” Oliver

    On Sunday, May 17th Lawrence “Larry” Oliver, 73, of Williamstown went to be with the Lord at the Arbors of Marietta. He was born August 29, 1946, in Williamstown, WV and was the son of William Oliver and Thelma Luverna Tuell Oliver.
    Larry worked at Peoples Bank of Marietta for 38 years. He resided in Williamstown his entire life and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
    Larry is survived by brothers, William H. Oliver of Middleboro, Mass. and Charles Evert Oliver of Williamstown; sisters, Carolyn Oliver Brookover of Williamstown and Kathleen Lenora Oliver Brookover of Marietta and multiple nieces and nephews.

    William Duane Dunn, 69, of Lower Salem passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born July 23, 1950, at Marietta Memorial Hospital a son of the late William Dunn and Lody Dunn.
    He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving 3 years and was a retired union carpenter who helped build many homes and structures. He enjoyed fishing and rabbit and duck hunting.

    James “Jim” Kennedy, 71 of Stanleyville, Ohio, passed away at 3:10 am on Saturday, May 16, 2020.
    He was born February 15, 1949 in Lewistown, PA, a son of Robert P. and Ruth McNitt Kennedy. Jim was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam era. He was a graduate of Glenville State College in 1976.

    Arlene Donnelly, 86, of Marietta passed away at 2:25 pm, Friday, May 15, 2020, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell, OH.
    Arlene was born January 31, 1934, in New York a daughter of William Henry Hadden and Goldie Mae Hadden. She loved to sew and was self-employed as a seamstress. She was a Jehovah Witness and belonged to the Marietta Kingdom Hall.

  • Andrew M. Thompson

     
    Andrew M. Thompson passed away unexpectedly in Marietta, Ohio on May 13, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jade, and his three children, Annalea, Nathaniel, and August, and his sister, Laura Thompson (Bill Dauber). He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elsa Thompson and his brother, William Thompson III.
    Andy was born in Pella, Iowa on February 8, 1963 but moved to Marietta in 1971. Upon graduating from Marietta High School in 1981, Andy attended Central College in Iowa where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. During his junior year of college, Andy studied in Granada, Spain where he met the love of his life, Jade. They were married two years later. Together they had three wonderful children who were the light of his life.

  • Harold Michael “Big Mike” Beck, Jr.

    Harold Michael “Big Mike” Beck, Jr., passed away at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.  He was born July 1, 1953, in Marietta a son of Harold Michael Beck, Sr. and Elizabeth Henke Beck.
    He attended Williamstown High School and retired from Eramet after 31 years.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman and just loved being outdoors especially with his grandkids.
    He is survived by the love of his life his children:  Harold Mike Beck III (Michelle), Tracie Beck Huggins (Brad), April “Pigs” Beck; grandchildren:  Cody Huggins (Brooke), Caitlyn Huggins, Michael Beck, Peyton Beck, Austyn Smith, Alisha Smith, Josh Huffman; his sister Pamela Jo Williams and brothers, Deane Beck and Dru Beck (Tina) and several nieces and nephews.
