  • Debra “Debi” Sue (Burton) Graham

    Debra “Debi” Sue (Burton) Graham passed away on April 4, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
    Debi was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 15, 1950. Debi was a 1968 graduate of New Albany High School and lived most of her life in Columbus, Ohio, having recently moved to Marietta, Ohio to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard Burton and Carlene (Rieser) Evans, and her brother Richard “OB” Burton II.

  • Carrie Renee Gutberlet

    Carrie Renee Gutberlet went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 8:23pm at her home with her husband, children, and family by her side.
    Carrie is a very special gift from God. She loved her Lord and Savior, and received Him into her heart at a very young age. Her devotion to the ministry was special and unique. She was a pastors wife, a Patch the Pirate teacher with her daughter, Lexi, and she had a special way with the children. She loved them dearly and they loved her the same. Carrie was born June 6, 1966 to Leo and Dawn Gandor of Marietta, Ohio. She was a 1984 graduate of Marietta Christian School. She was a cheerleader, volleyball player, Homecoming Queen, and a friend to all. Carrie was awarded a State Championship Trophy for Bible verse memory competition from the American Association of Christian Schools. Carrie enjoyed life as a loving wife, homemaker, mother, and granny. She loved her grandbabies dearly. Carrie enjoyed cleaning her house (she took it seriously). She enjoyed reading her Bible, exercising, laying in the sun, and taking beach trips. She was all about her family, planning meals and get together’s. Carrie will be greatly missed, but the Lord knew how special she was and he chose to take her home.

    Elaine B. Ogle, 97, formerly of Lower Salem passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Waterview Pointe. She was born March 5, 1927, in Washington County, Ohio, to Elmer Lauer and Mildred Schneider Lauer.
    Elaine had been employed at Remington Rand for many years and after the death of her husband she obtained her Nursing Degree and worked for Dr. Northrup and Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Highland Ridge Community Church. Elaine enjoyed playing Euchre, Dominos and square dancing.

    Timmy Cody, age 51, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024.
    He leaves behind his mother, Patty Brooks Cody; two siblings, Missy Stillings, Candy Cody, both of London, KY; two nieces; two nephews; two great nieces; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
    He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Cody Jr; and by his aunt, Sissy Brooks.

    Ellen Louise Henderson, 93, of Williamstown WV, passed away March 21, 2024 at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center.
    Ellen was born September 14, 1930 in Ritchie County, daughter of the late George L. Pratt and Geraldine “Short” Moore Pratt
    Ellen was a graduate of Pennsboro High School and Mountain State Business College. She married her husband Gailey Henderson on August 26, 1950. She was employed by Hope Gas Co and John B Yates Lumber Co for a few years until they started a family. Ellen was a loving wife and mother to 3 sons. She was a 44 year survivor of breast cancer.

  • MaryAnn (Kinney) Sandstrom

    MaryAnn (Kinney) Sandstrom, age 83, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 13, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. As one of the eldest grandchildren of the late Charley O Clark, MaryAnn was a cherished daughter of the late Denver Wilson “Ted” Kinney and Thelma Devota (Clark) Kinney. She was born on May 13, 1940 in Toledo Ohio.
    She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Ray Sandstrom of Marietta OH for nearly 37 years; a loving sister to Ted Alan Kinney of Dublin OH and Clark Evans Kinney (deceased); and a devoted mother to Natalie Ann (Bill) Giles of Cary NC; Nannette Marie (Jim) Knellinger of Frankfort KY and David Allen Lenington of Marietta, OH.
    Her legacy extends through her grandchildren: Zebulon Martin, Adrienne Austin, Michelle Cator, Raquelle Combs, Eli and Cady Lenington; and her great-grandchildren Alaric and Leyna Martin; Asher, Ephraim, Pierson and Eliza Austin; Michael, Christian and Mallory Cator. MaryAnn was also a caring aunt to Erin and Brian and a great aunt to Caleb, Lila, Brooks and Ellie.
    MaryAnn’s love for her small chihuahuas, Roo and Scooter, reflected her capacity for love, extending even to her beloved pets, who became like children to her. She was also an avid reader, loved history, working puzzles and watching the birds and squirrels.
