  • William Robert Borman

    William Robert Borman, 66, of Marietta, OH, passed away on May 5, 2024 at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville, OH. He was born at Marietta Memorial Hospital, May 23, 1957 to Bernice Baker Borman and Blufford Borman.
    William “Bill” attended Marietta High School where he graduated in 1975. He then went to the Air Force Academy in Denver, Colorado, then to be stationed at the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. He served from 1986 to 1995 (approx.) during Desert Shield/Storm in Saudi Arabia as an ammo specialist. Sergeant William R. Borman received an honorable discharge. He also has a plaque in the War Bird Park, Myrtle Beach, SC, for serving.

    Kathryn B. Venham, 92, of Marietta passed away at 4:39 pm, Friday, May 3, 2024 at Waterview Pointe.
    She was born March 10, 1932 in Woodsfield, OH, to Richard and Nora Moore Williams. She life long member of the Church of Christ. Kathryn loved her family and friends and was very giving to all.

    Cheryl Ann VanWey, 65, of Marietta passed away at home on Thursday, May 2, 2024. She was born January 28, 1959, in Marietta daughter of the late Billy L. and J. Diane Britton VanWey. She retired from Selby Hospital in August, 2016 after 38 years of service.

    Randall G. Noland, 78, of Belpre, went home to be with the Lord at 3:54pm, Monday, April 29, 2024, at his home. He was born on October 16, 1945, in Marietta a son of the late Randall V. Noland and Eloise Rutherford Noland.
    Randal was a member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 565. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in St. Marys, WV and was saved at the age of 24. He loved fishing in Michigan.

    Dennie R. Burchett, Jr., 76, of Marietta passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, At Elison @ Marietta. He was born May 15, 1947, in Marietta a son of the late Dennie R. Burchett and Clara Louise Biehl Burchett.
    Dennie was a graduate of Marietta High School and received a BS in Petroleum Geology from Marietta College. He was first employed at Broughton Foods Company and later operated Broughton Brothers Oil and Gas, Front Four Gas and Burchett-Haynes Oil and Gas with Larry Haynes.

    Diana worked at FedComp at Washington, DC, as a programmer and was a member of The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption. She loved to cook, crochet and do computer work. She enjoyed Christmas and being with her family and friends.
