She was born on December 21, 1934, at Lebanon, PA, to Jacob and Helen Seasholtz Rhoads. Joan was a homemaker.
On March 29, 1952, she married Hansford “Hank” Hendrickson who preceded her in death on March 18, 1997.

She was born on May 31, 1949, in Mann, WV, a daughter of Louise Ferrel and Melvin Gray. She had been employed at different restaurants in Marietta and was a member of the Moose, Eagles and Elk Lodges.
