    Sue Darlene Mantel, 74, of Lower Salem passed away at 2:28 am, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born in Marietta on January 13, 1949, a daughter of Walter and Betty Williamson Dutton.
    Sue was employed by Lower Salem Commercial Bank and The Peoples Bank. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 60, 50 year member Little Muskingum Grange, and a member of the Lower Salem Methodist Church.

    Cindy Kay Heiss Bosner, 62, of Marietta passed away on July 19, 2023 at her home.
    She was born March 2, 1961 in Marietta to the late Robert George and Ellen Joan (Gerken) Heiss.  She was a 1981 graduate of Marietta High School.  Cindy was a loving and caring mother and sister, and a very warm hearted person who was loved by many.  She was an incredible cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

  • Donald Lee Binegar

    Donald Lee Binegar, 79, of Newport passed away at 4:27 pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville, OH. He was born on May 31, 1944 in Washington County to Kenneth and Verna McPeek Binegar.
    Don was a Lawrence High School graduate and had worked as a coal miner and at Fenton Art Glass as a glass blower. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mowing grass. He loved to tinker on things and restore old cars with his brother.

  • Russell Allen Strahler

    Russell Allen Strahler of 100 Cisler Lane died on July 17th, 2023 at the age of 61 after a battle with lung disease and cancer. He spent his final days surrounded by his siblings, daughters, and loved ones.
    Russell was born October 19th, 1961 in Marietta to Louis Wilbur and Anna Mae (Pottmeyer) Strahler and was the sixth of seven children. He attended Warren High School where he was involved in wrestling and lived in Marietta most of his life.

  • Mary Alice Gore

    Mary Alice Gore, 79, of New Matamoras, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Mary was born August 28, 1943 to William and Lizzie Hodge in Eberle, Kentucky.
    Mary was a devout Christian and labored for the Lord, helping to build and support Swain City Community Church where she was a member and minister. Over the years, she enjoyed preaching and singing at church services and camp meetings where she was surrounded by members of her earthly and church families.
    She loved spending time with her family and loved ones and anything that would share God’s love and glory with others. Her TV was always on. She was usually watching someone preach or sing praise. She enjoyed plenty of other older shows, Law & Order, and her home shopping channels too. She loved going to the Goodwill, giving gifts to her family, and reading her Bible. Mary was well known for her unwavering faith and love for others.
