    Donavan J. Bailey, 89, of Waverly, WV, passed away at 9:38 pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Salem Care and Rehab Center in Salem, WV.
    He was born on September 6, 1920, in Minnora, WV, a son of Samuel and Rose Nell States Bailey.  He was a veteran of WWII, serving most of the time as a surgical technician.  He received both a Bronze Star and Silver Star.

    She was born on December 15, 1917, in Washington County, Ohio, to John Henry and Laura Jane Hupp Ward.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening and animals.  Edrie attended Eddy’s Ridge Church of Christ.
