    He was born on June 7, 1957, in Marietta a son of Terry Douglas and Helen Dowler Venham.  He was baptized in the Church of Christ.  Tony was a graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1976.

    Dwight E. Wittekind “Pappy” of Marietta went home to be with the lord on his 79th birthday, Wednesday September 9, 2009 at Marietta Care Rehabilitation and Center. He was born in Bartlett, OH to Ida M. and Lawrence A. Wittekind.  He was the devoted husband for 59 years to his wife Dorothy, who survives him. They were married June 24, 1950.

    Carl was a U.S. Army and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a longstanding member of the American Legion Post 64 of Marietta, Ohio.
    Carl was a retired auto body mechanic and he loved old cars and auto racing himself, as well as watching his sons race.
