Shirley Stull, 87, of Marietta passed away at 12:50 pm, Monday, December 26, 2022, at Harmar Place.
She was born on October 12, 1935 in Marietta a daughter of Homer and Ada Sparks Rumbold. Shirley was a homemaker.
Sandra Lee Carver, 59, of Marietta passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at her home.
She was born June 10, 1963, in Brockton, Massachusetts a daughter of Robert and Roberta Powers Pearson. She worked at Wrangler Tavern and volunteered at VFW Post 5108. Sandra was a social butterfly who enjoyed cooking, crafting, taking care of Veterans and taking long road trips with her husband, David.
Vernon Dean Paul, 56, of Lowell passed away at 11:00 am, Monday, December 19, 2022 at his home.
He was born January 30, 1967, in Marietta a son of Kenneth Grady of Marietta and the late Garnet Joseph Grady. Vernon was employed by Mole Master.
Carolyn M. Seely, born May 25, 1920, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 18. She was born and raised in Newport, OH., daughter of Henry and Lucy (Eddy) Miller. After graduating high school she lived and worked in Chicago, IL, where she met and married Horace Seely, who passed away in March 2002. For many years her family resided in Pittsburgh before returning to Newport after 1990.
Ross Addison Abicht, 93, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away Thursday November 17, 2022, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 25, 1929, in Washington County, Ohio, a son of Edward Franklin Abicht and Ethel Alice Cunningham Abicht.
Ross attended Sandhill School at Reno and Marietta High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force. Employed by B. F. Goodrich Plant for 37 years, retiring in 1985. Member of the Civil Defense Corps, member of Marietta Bible Center Church. Active in Tai-Chi and enjoyed traveling.
Lloyd R. Beardsley, 91, of Marietta passed away on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 9, 1931 in Lowell a son of Thelma Beardsley Johnson.
He graduated from Lowell High School and served in the Army Reserve as a Sergeant until 1954 and in the Army National Guard until 1958. Lloyd started working at an early age and was an excellent mechanic. His first business was to go to local farms and buy produce to resale to wholesellers. He owned an auto repair shop in Lowell before going to work for Marietta Concrete selling silos and was later District Sales Manager for a steel building company. He was in demand for his sale skills and was an independent contractor who built houses.
Janet Coutermarsh, 73, of Marietta passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, at the Arbors of Marietta. She was born on September 16, 1949 in Wheeling, West Virginia to Stanley and Marie (Ritchie) Bennet, Sr. She was a homemaker who loved to play Bingo and work puzzle books.
Visitation will be held on Monday (Dec. 26) from 2 until 4 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home followed by cremation.
